- 인스타그램 포스트가 대학 운동선수들의 내재적 운동 동기에 미치는 영향 : 희망의 매개와 성별의 조절 효과를 중심으로 -
이 연구에서는 사회 정체성 이론과 자기 범주화 이론의 관점에서 인스타그램 스포츠 포스트가 대학 운동선수들의 내재적 운동 동기에 미치는 긍정적 영향에 대해 살펴봤다. 서울 지역 대학에 재학 중인 운동선수들을 대상으로 실시한 실험 연구 결과, 성별을 기 준으로 내집단에 속하는 선수들이 국제대회에서 좋은 성적을 내고 있다는 인스타그램 포스트에 노출된 집단은 통제 집단 대비 더 높은 내재적 운동 동기를 나타냈다. 또한 인스타그램 포스트 노출과 운동 동기 간 관계를 희망의 정서가 매개하며, 그 매개 효과 는 여성 운동선수들 가운데에서만 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결 과는, 내집단 구성원들에 대해 긍정적인 내용을 담고 있는 인스타그램 포스트가 정서적 반응을 통해 이용자들의 행태에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 시사한다.
The Effects of Instagram Posts on the Intrinsic Sport Motivation of Student-Athletes : Focusing on the Mediation of Hope
We examined the direct and indirect effects of Instagram sports posts on the intrinsic sport motivation of elite college student-athletes, focusing on whether and how viewing Instagram posts of in-group members’ success increases hope, which, in turn, has the effect of strengthening sport motivation among student-athletes. The results of a web survey experiment with a sample of 103 elite-level college student-athletes in Seoul area demonstrate that the mediation effect of hope is statistically significant only for female student-athletes, and the moderated mediation is statistically significant. Implications of the findings and limitations of the study are discussed.
