- 대학생이 인식하는 MZ세대에 관한 연구 : 토론 논제 ‘MZ세대는 예의(禮儀)가 없다’를 중심으로 -
본 연구는 ‘MZ세대는 예의(禮儀)가 없다’는 사회적 편견을 비판적으로 재검토하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 D대학 교양교과목인 ‘독서와 토론’ 수강생 117명을 대상으 로 논제 ‘MZ세대는 예의(禮儀)가 없다’를 제시하고 토론을 진행했다. 연구 문제는 ‘MZ세대는 예의(禮儀)가 없다는 논제에 대해 찬반 입장이 어떠한가’, ‘MZ세대는 예의 (禮儀)가 없다는 논제의 주요 쟁점은 무엇인가’이다. 연구 결과, ‘MZ세대는 예의(禮儀) 가 없다’는 논제에 대해 반대가 더 많았다. 질적 내용분석을 통해 추출된 주요 쟁점은 ‘MZ세대의 정의’, ‘예(禮)의 속성’, ‘집단과 개인의 관계’, ‘세대 갈등의 주범’으로 나타 났다. 이로써 특정 세대와 관련한 성급한 일반화는 편견과 세대 갈등을 심화시킬 수 있 음을 확인했다.
A Study on How College Students Perceive the MZ Generation : With a Focus on the Debate Topic “The MZ Generation Lacks Etiquette”
The purpose of this study is to critically reassess the societal bias that the 'MZ generation lacks etiquette (禮儀).' To achieve this, we presented the topic 'The MZ generation lacks etiquette (禮儀)' to 117 students taking the 'Reading and Discussion' course, a general education course at University D, and conducted discussions. The research questions were: 'What are the opinions on the thesis that the MZ generation lacks etiquette (禮儀)?', and 'What are the key points of contention regarding the thesis that the MZ generation lacks etiquette (禮儀)?'. The research results there was more opposition to the thesis that the MZ generation lacks etiquette (禮儀). The key issues extracted through qualitative content analysis were 'Definition of the MZ generation,' 'Attributes of etiquette (禮),' 'Relationship between the group and individuals,' and 'Culprits of generational conflicts.' This confirmed that hasty generalizations concerning specific generations can exacerbate biases and generational conflicts.
